This docunovel tells of the mystery surrounding the "The ship of Shame." In 1934, during the great depression, The ill-fated voyage of the Morro Castle luxury liner made a 6 day trip to the exotic city of Havana, Cuba. After fighting through a great storm on its return trip to NY, the ship catches fire killing 135 people on board. In addition, the captain mysteriously dies enroute to NY. The ship meets it's demise when it crashes upon the beach of Asbury Park, NJ.
The protagonist, the ship's photographer, Jirish, is the catalyst throughout the docunovel. Also on board is his love interest, Amanda Scott, a Philadelphia Main Line socialite.

Grammatical mistakes aside, this is a Damn fine read. I didn't double check the facts of the book, but the story is a good, engaging one, but the continuous misspellings, poor grammar and just downright wrong word usages were extremely tiring, and redundant.
Nevertheless, if you can find it within yourself to ignore ALL of those, you'll probably enjoy this book.
Enjoyed.. Actually would make a good movie
Well researched. The Author really knew his subject. Slow to start but good narrative with love, action and suspense.
